Liberty Begins at Home

Liberty is more than freedom from bondage. It encompasses all the convictions, skills, and attributes required for citizens to protect and preserve freedom for generations to come; and that foundation begins in the home. It is the small and simple things we do in our homes that will have the greatest impact on our nation. As former First Lady Barbara Bush said, “Our success as a society depends not on what happens in the White House, but on what happens in your house.” Join us as we build a foundation of liberty one home at a time.

Three Steps for Building a Foundation of Liberty within the Home

Five Minutes with the Bible

Our Founding Fathers declared the Bible to be the rock upon which our nation was founded. American newspaper editor, Horace Greeley said, “It is impossible to enslave mentally or socially a Bible-reading people. The principles of the Bible are the groundwork of human freedom.”

Just spending 5 minutes each a day reading a story from the bible will have a huge influence on budding patriots.

The Story Bible is the perfect Bible for families. It is a great for read-aloud and an excellent resource for family story time.

Inspired by the recommendations of 19th Century British educator, Charlotte Mason, The Story Bible helps parents introduce the beautiful language of the King James Version to their children while sharing the inspiring stories that have blessed Americans for so many years.

The Story Bible is available through Libraries of Hope.

Ronald Reagan declared, “All great change in America begins at the dinner table” and we wholeheartedly agree.

With so many distractions and negative influences in our children’s lives and the constant blatant attack on the institution of family, a return to the family dinner hour is not only well overdue, it is vital to the success of a civilized society–and the preservation of liberty itself.

We invite you to download our free Table Talk Sampler to discover the Power of Family dinner hour and enjoy 31 Days of stories, quotes, and questions, to spark an amazing dinner conversation.

30 Minute Family Story Time

During World War I, the French bravely fought back the invading Germans for four brutal years. Twenty years later, in World War II, France fell to Nazi Germany in just six weeks. What changed?

The Stories.

In a spirit of pacifism and internationalism, France’s schoolbooks were purged of the stories of courage and self-sacrifice of their fallen heroes. Instead, the children were bombarded with stories of the horrors of war and the suffering of French and German alike.

Since the beginning of Time and across the globe, stories have been the most effective means of passing values and traditions from generation to generation. Information goes to the brain, but stories go directly to the heart and it is our heart that inspires our thoughts and directs our actions.

A wealth of stories can be found in our Patriots Reading List and through the various links and resources throughout our website.

Never underestimate the power of a story! Stories can save our nation.
