This book is an American child’s masterpiece. It is a book that was written in the late 1800’s for school children. Each story is just two to three pages, written very simply so young children can read them. But everyone will enjoy these stories no matter how old you are. And once you read these stories and know that this is what our children were reading in school a hundred years, you will ached within your heart that they are not read in schools today. After I read the story about Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys I was so inspired I named our youngest son Ethan. These stories are treasures that must be shared, past on, and never forgotten.
