Trauma Specialist: Junk COVID-19 Statistics Are Driving School Closures; Families Pay the Price

Moms for America’s Kimberly Fletcher: Mothers and Children Fast Becoming Casualties of ‘Excessive Policies’ in COVID-19 Political War

DAYTON, OHIO — Medical experts say the recent uptick in patients being tested for the coronavirus is corrupting the statistics politicians and bureaucrats are using to make policy decisions — and families are suffering the collateral damage.

In an interview posted by Education News, Dr. Kelly Victory, a board-certified trauma and emergency specialist, argued the statistics informing community leaders’ school health and safety closures are “basically meaningless.” Many tests are counted multiple times for the same person, and what reliable data there is confirms most children are virtually unsusceptible to COVID-19, according to Victory.

Moms for America® (www.MomsForAmerica.us) is burdened for the mothers of America who are dealing with the politically induced constraints that the interpretation of statistics is imposing on families. Kimberly Fletcher, founder and president of Moms for America® and a mother of eight, has observed dangerous trends happening across America that are changing the course of medical treatment and care for the family.

“It is absolutely unacceptable the way mothers are being treated due to unnecessary, excessive policies,” Fletcher said. “Mothers are having to wear masks during labor and delivery, children are forced to wear masks to doctor appointments, people who need care are denied. We are now officially living in socialized medicine, where doctors and nurses are being mandated by politically motivated administrators in determining who gets care, what kind of care, when and how often.”

Fletcher has firsthand experience with compromised care due to COVID-19 restrictions. In a recent accident, she was unable to have a personal advocate in the hospital. After undergoing and receiving a negative COVID-19 test, she was still required to contact her husband by phone to assist her in making medical decisions. Had she tested positive, she would not have been able to receive much-needed surgery. Additionally, a coworker was required to deliver her baby wearing a mask throughout labor even after testing negative for COVID-19. Newborns are tested twice after birth, and if either mother or baby tests positive, policy for some hospitals requires the separation of mother and baby.

“Healthy moms and children are being treated like they’re sick, isolated and vulnerable, unable to consult with or be supported by family,” Fletcher said. “Whether in a nursing home, while giving birth, emergency room visits, medical procedures or even a routine doctor’s appointment, family support is being denied when it is needed most.”

The freedom and safety of our republic depends on whether America’s millions of moms will choose to make their voices heard. Moms for America® encourages mothers to sign the Declaration of Mothers, which includes statements about human rights, the role of a mother in the home and the education of her children.

Mothers can add their names to those of more than 58,000 fellow American moms who have signed the Declaration of Mothers at https://sg-sa.biz/declaration-of-mothers/.
